A Skinner box conditions animal behavior by rewarding desired responses and punishing undesired ones. So I guess in human conditioning, Hell is the electric shock, and Heaven is the food pellet. (Or manna muffins.)
B.F. Skinner used rats and pigeons in his original experiments, and was actually funded by the U.S. military to develop a pigeon-guided missile.
He developed a working prototype where trained pigeons guided the missile by pecking at a target on a screen, but the project was canceled due to impracticality: the pigeons just couldn’t produce enough poop to cause devastation beyond soiled car tops.
